Sidereus
Sci-Fi
Three friends searching for meaning in a prosperous utopia accidentally uncover the solution to the Fermi paradox and UAP: humanity has been manipulated by aliens, who prevent extraterrestrial contact and space travel. With the help of ASI, they will free mankind and unlock the stars.
The story
In 2050, humans and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) work in tandem. ASI has eliminated war, poverty, disease, pollution, and even slowed aging. Yet, something is missing. Two companions, the introverted Florinda and the empathetic Ritimi travel the world on foot, searching for meaning in a society that has solved every problem, except the one that truly matters: purpose. Along the way, they befriend Yusuf, a former engineer who carries a terrible secret. One night, the trio mysteriously awakens on another world: an exomoon of impossible beauty, orbiting a rogue planet and covered by a vast ocean filled with flying fish and ancient trees. It is inhabited by dragon-like sentient fishes, alongside the peaceful Maras, descendants of the ancient Mesoamericans, who call the exomoon Sidereus. The travelers learn a bitter truth: Earth is inhabited by the Darkuls, alien parasites coming from Sidereus that settled on Earth millennia ago. They feed on emotions and suppress humanity’s natural ability to fold space. The trio discovers that the world-trees brought them to Sidereus, to help them fight against the dissolution of their entire ecosystem. Yusuf reveals that his father is Adam Ark, the director of the Lunar Base (LUBA). Adam is a brilliant man whose wife, Saba, disappeared while exploring Sidereus. He is ready to launch biological weapons to sterilize the exomoon, believing that this xenocide will protect humanity from the aliens who kidnapped and probably killed his wife. Racing to the Lunar Base, the trio collaborates with Sirius, the morally enlightened ASI managing LUBA. They confront Adam and defeat the Darkuls with the help of Sirius and their extraterrestrial allies. Yusuf confronts his father, who sacrifices his life to prevent the launch of the bio-weapons. Saba is rescued from the aliens and Florinda finds its purpose by merging with the world-trees, channeling the massive energy required to banish all the Darkuls from Earth and opening the cosmos to mankind.
